Gottfried Groeder is a fascist driven insane by his bionic enhancements, dedicated to wiping out the FSA government and kick-starting a world revolution.
Groeder was a longtime ally of the fascist Imperial leader Generalissimo Killt, and quickly rose through the Imperial army to become Killt’s right-hand man. When the Imperials launched their attack on the FSA and began to assemble the terrifying Project Albatross, Groeder was charged with the interrogation of the FSA’s top agent, Joseph “Super Joe” Gibson.
During Super Joe’s long imprisonment, Groeder learned of the existence of the bionic technology under development at TASC, and began to enhance his own body with parts smuggled to the Imperials. Already the Imperials’ advanced scientific operations sought to bring the dead back to life – now Groeder himself attempted to live forever.
The only known person outside of TASC to have gained access to military bionic technology, Groeder’s body has been extensively modified by a number of enhancements which make him a formidable foe. However, the psychological difficulties known to affect users of bionic implants have also driven Groeder well past the brink of insanity.
As the Imperials’ last strongholds came under attack from Nathan Spencer, Groeder was waiting. Both as Super Joe’s guard, and the only other bionic in the field, their meeting was inevitable.
