On the latest
podcast (featuring Kotaku's Brian Ashcraft, seen right) the Top Secret team issued a challenge both to ourselves, and to loyal
listeners. We are laying down the gauntlet of pain, and testing our levels of
gaming skills and patience.
As a
commando-sized challenge for the New Year, we swear to each complete one bad or
difficult game suggested to us by you, the fans, within 2008.
We'll
draw the games at random during the File 009 podcast (out on February 5th),
giving us just about 11 months to complete them. So if you're keen to see how
good a Capcom veteran really is, or you just want to get back at Ben Judd for
ruining your childhood memories, now is the time. Use the box below to send us
your suggestions.
We're looking for games that:
- are regarded as being extremely difficult and/or excruciatingly bad
-are on a platform easily available in Japan (so no Colecovisions or N-Gages please)
- are actually possible to complete (so no games with massive bugs in them preventing you from getting to the end)
- are not Big Rigs
Whichever member
of the Top Secret team finishes their game first gets a special prize (what is
it? You tell us!) and the loser(s) who finish last or cannot struggle up the
will or skill to finish their game, will be subjected to a punishment (which we'll
also make let you decide). And possibly death. Go on, break a
Capcom employee.
