As far as T.C.'s eye goes, I'd guess his part "may" be of an elder/limited/inferior generation, pre-catalyst... though, of course, it could be holding a story of its own too. Personally, I doubt it's Haley.
I too was kinda hoping to see Haley somehow pulled back in action via Groeder's miraculous recovery from the Albatros incident (and who knows who's really responsible for things as far as his return goes?) (In wild dreams and fantasizing of Haley making a return, I'd see her trapped as a holo-interface thingy, or something, ala the one Spencer has in his arm in some of the early footage from the game. What a fate? There's a poor soldier with a love for Haley out there, while Spencer runs around with not just his catalyst wife, but also "Hey (listen!)"-ing Cortana-wannabe hologram Haley!) As far as the ending sequence goes, I kinda wish the entire final level (post-Groeder stuff) would've done an experimental touch with it basically being part of the ending credits themselves (people always do opening credit stuff in-game and in various movies in all sorts of artistic ways, but rarely integrate the ending credits as... well... part of the experience... Closest I can think of is the party video FMV in Final Fantasy VIII) |

By the way, concerning the "Super Joe not Joseph Gibson" theory, the ending of BC: Rearmed clearly says "Joseph 'Super Joe' Gibson."
I'm still not sure what to believe with the whole Joe vs. Impersonator situation, though. I can't think of a scenario in which Spencer forgets what Super Joe looks/sounds like. I suppose Joe really being Jack Steele is possible, but I don't think it's likely. |

From: Sgt. Beaufordt #14550 To: Capt. Chaffel #12198 Subject: The Enemy - Part 3 New info about Spencer, sir. This is from a TASC debriefing with our own Lieutenant Magdalene (a Sergeant at the time). I believe it's about Spencer. // Interviewer What are your feelings toward the Major? Sgt. Magdalene I thought one aspect of being a soldier was to repress feelings. Interviewer Just answer the question, Sergeant. Sgt. Magdalene I don't have any feelings toward him. Maybe loyalty. Interviewer There are those who think your relationship with the Major goes beyond loyalty. Sgt. Magdalene That's their problem. Interviewer Right now it's actually your problem, Sergeant. Sgt. Magdalene You don't know shit about the Major! If you did you'd know that any one of his men would take a bullet for him. You would also know that he's still searching for his wife. Even though that bitch blew him off, he still loves her, the idiot.... I don't need to take any more of this shi.... // |
