The SteinMech 4.62mm "Tungsten" machine pistol is the chosen close-quarters personal defense weapon for FSA Armed Forces military vehicle and aircraft crews. Subsequently adopted by TASC Special Ops, the BC variant model was specially modified for use by bionic-enhanced troops.

Classified as a machine pistol, the Tungsten is equipped with laser-ignition firing mechanism and smart-fluid barrel stabilization, which provide excellent single-handed stability, even during sustained burst fire. The Tungsten is a versatile and powerful weapon, combining the accuracy of a pistol with the rate of fire and power of a machine gun.

The Tungsten's high-velocity steel-core SLAP rounds (Semi / Light Armor-Piercing) are designed to penetrate standard mil-spec body armor at close to medium range, although accuracy and effectiveness become significantly compromised at longer ranges. The standard box magazine holds 40 rounds. The Tungsten's high rate of fire, compact size and unprecedented reliability made it the standard-issue weapon of choice for TASC's bionic troops.
