More Post Mortem Lovin'Vote Now!

Ben Judd, Wednesday 28-01-2009, 21:25:24

The other day Gamasutra put up a post mortem that I put together about Bionic Commando Rearmed. Their basic format asks you to list 5 things that went right and 5 things that went wrong. I probably could have gone on for about 25 in each category but the 5 I listed might surprise you.

If you have a chance, read it and let us know what you think. We always like the feedback.

(Also, if you want to hear more analysis of what went right and wrong with Rearmed, check out Files 023 and 024 of the Top Secret podcast)

In other news, we also have "obtained the action figure" in our Osaka office. With real retractable claw, it's not bad at all. I've seen some really awful action figures in the past (some that I would swear were patterned after the Megaman 1 US box art instead of the actual Megaman character) so this is definitely worth its weight in dollars!

Cheers!
Ben

Post Mortimer

Good stuff, good stuff. I always like these kind of articles and I enjoyed the podcasts too! Must say that GRIN and you Ben made some pretty hard choices, but in the end, a great game was made! I really really enjoyed BC Rearmed, in fact, it's the only Live Arcade title I have been sitting up and waiting and counting the hours, minutes, seconds to release, just so I could grab it as soon as it hit the servers. I think that tells you something how stoked I was for the game, and it did not dissapoint. :)

I hope that the game still continues to sell well and heh, I got my friends to buy it too. The money went for a good cause!

And I'm really excited about the new BC game too, GRIN has done a good job on their previous work with the GRAW series on PC, I have no real expectations of it since the swing mechanic is quite unique (not like Spiderman, etc), and I had some expectations of Rearmed since I had played the original but I'm trying to go into the new game with an open mind, just that I'm expecting some skill based swinging, but that should be alot of fun.

Man, this comment is too long, but uh, in short: Awesome article, awesome game, can't wait for the release of Bionic Commando. :)

Action Figures

You know... I would've probably loved to have a Limited Edition action figure based on the Mega Man 1 (US) cover art Mega Man.
