While a retail DNA kit and the Large Hadron Collider may be all well and good, they're not much use for swinging from skyscrapers and pummeling your opponents into a bloody mess, are they? Well, to be fair, we're not sure if the Touch Bionics' Bionic Hand is good for that either, but what we do is that Time Magazine have named the appendage as the 14th best invention of 2008.
This increasing recognition of the awesomeness importance of bionic appendages bodes well not just for the success of Bionic Commando, but also for those who need the devices to improve their day-to-day lives. Ominously, the Time article ends with the following prediction: "Next up for Touch Bionics? A prosthetic wrist unit, prosthetic fingers and a full bionic arm (emphasis added, natch)".
The future is closer than you think!
