Hey, it turns out we DO have the technology after all. We stumbled across this video of a new artificial arm created by Dean Kamen, the inventor of the Segway, that bears a striking resemblance to one bionic commando.

The defense department's experimental research wing TASC DARPA creating artificial limbs for returning soldiers who have lost limbs in combat? Have they been reading our bionics section?

The video says that Kamen was inspired by Luke's artifical hand in Star Wars, and not BC, but once they start sticking grappling hooks onto the end of that thing and sending those soldiers back into action more badass than ever, I think we'll all know where the inspiration really comes from.

In all seriousness, this is inspiring stuff and well worth a watch. They say audiences were in tears when it was first shown...

(Incidentally, the first person to make it any jokes about it not having hot dogs will be getting an unpleasant visit from our Capcom hired goons)
